INTRODUCTION
Lode Kuylenstierna (b. 1983) began his studies at Stockholm Film School in 2004 and has since constantly explored and challenged the boundaries of film and art. After creating several short films, which were shown at various international film festivals, he continued his studies at the Royal Institute of Art in 2012. There, after five years of intensive work, he completed both his Bachelor and Master in Fine Arts in 2017.
His bachelor's work, the feature film 'Homo Sacer', had its world premiere at CPH:DOX and participated in competitions at several prestigious film festivals, including Göteborg International Film Festival, Tempo Documentary Film Festival, and Krakow Film Festival. It also received a nomination for 'Best New Nordic Voice' at Nordic Panorama. His Master's thesis project was the sculptural artwork 'Homo digitalis', which quickly garnered attention and was exhibited at, among others, Sven Harry's Art Museum and Galerie Forsblom's Studio. In 2019, he created the 'fragment film series - The Sane Society'. In 2021, he contributed to the development of 'Cinematic Audio Drama' along with Chroma.
During 2023, Kuylenstierna worked on the feature film project 'Rikets Sal', based on his Master's thesis, and used the 'Homo Sacer method' for interviews in several cities. He is now current with the solo exhibition 'skalv efter skalv oändligt', at Växjö Konsthall on October 27, 2023.
